So today was my birthday. :) I'm a solid 20. The year when nothing happens to you except you're one year closer to finally becoming an "adult". And by adult I mean, allowed to enter a slew of places that bar other youngins.
I don't like to make a big deal out of my birthday mostly because I feel awkward. I always feel like its just another day, another day to live, to be happy, and to relax and explore. I basically did the latter of that four today.
Last week, I went to a semi-upscale steak restaurant because I had seen an interview for wanted servers. The open wal
k-in times was from 2:30-5. So I went dressed in this <--- (another outlet of boredom as I made this little picture). I went inside and was greeted by the the host, a six foot, tie-wearing, hair slicked back so that the gel entered his brain, host. He gave me an unapologetically bored look as I spewed out my, "I'm unemployed, bored, and hungry... HIRE MEE" introduction. He flatly then said that the time a
sked ended at 4:30 (it was 4:37), and that I was too late. A milli-second later, he looked above me and asked for the next customer.
Soo.. instead of getting harrassed out of an opportunity, I decided to come back today. I didn't want that negative experience to stop me, no matter how blatanly ageist. I sat at the bar, next to a 30 something year old man, dressed in a tailored gray shirt. I was wearing... this.

Hahah, I was just looking for something similar to what I was wearing on google, and I found this Sim. Oddly enough, I had gotten my haircut in China town... and this little Sim man has the same hair style and clothes that I was wearing (I changed the colors) could potentially be me, so so so strange.
I also finished reading "Interview with the Vampire" by Anne Rice. It was an amazing movie so I thought to read it. Yumm. Hot men, sharp teeth, blood. My idea of a good time. ;)
(now reading "Beloved" by Toni Morrison.)
Eh. 20 years.
Can you believe it?
